GreenHouse: A Commonwealth Climate Challenge will give 12 households in each of 12 cities in 12 countries across the Commonwealth 12 months to reduce their environmental impact.how to build a website As they take up the challenge, we will share their stories to inspire and inform people about environmental issues. This Month's Challenge

Starting Up

Each month our households will be set a challenge to help them address a different area of their environmental impact.

The challenges will range from zero waste week to the allocation of personal carbon allowances. They will explore reducing electricity, water and fuel use, eating seasonal and local foods, biodiversity, skills trading and a 'no new purchases' month...

For some, hard data will enable the GreenHouse panel to pick out a Challenge Champion with ease. For others, the most innovative ideas and ambitious efforts will triumph.
